Choosing your combs

There are about 5 million hair follicles evenly distributed on our body with an average of 100,000 scalp follicles on our head. Each hair shaft made up of an outer layer and two inner layers. To ensure these locks get the care they deserve, it is important to use the correct hair comb in addition to proper exercise, diet, and care.

While most of us will invest in good hair products and appliances to reduce the rate at which our 100,000 hairs shed, only a few will pay attention to the single tool we use the most - The Hair Comb

The comb is used to separate or detangle hair knots and also helps us in parting our hair into sections. it is important you choose the right comb for the basic function you want to perform and also ensure your choice soothes your hair type. Irrespective of the choice, however, our hair should also be treated to the luxury it deserves by ensuring the following:

1.. The spacing of the teeth

2. The roundness of the tips

3, The quality of the material used.

In addition to our choice of combs, let's treat our hair to some TLC by doing the following

  • Covering it with a swimming cap when in highly chlorinated pools

  • Reducing the exposure to heat and overdrying

  • Wearing only thick covered hair elastics and accessories with covered springs and clips.

The best combs are made of materials like Carbon Fibre, Wooden, Vulcanized natural hard rubber, Thermoplastic etc
